Mercury enters Aquarius...

today in Kilmore at 8.06pm.

Mercury moving from the serious and sombre Capricorn into the free-wheeling and stubborn sign of Aquarius suggests a change of mental mood.  It also suggests a change in the way the people and themes represented by Mercury in your birth chart operate over the next few weeks.

For example, I have Gemini on my 2nd House cusp, so I would expect it to be a bit easier for money to be flowing and for my finances to stabilise (Aquarius is a fixed sign).  Virgo also rules my 4th and 5th Houses, so I would also expect family situations and members to become more stable - perhaps stubborn!

The house that Mercury is in or moving to as it changes sign is also an area that you can expect to become much busier as it travels through it.  If you are an Aquarian, expect the next few weeks to be quite hectic!

Retrograde Saturn Square Pluto...

starts on January 10 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 1 in Kilmore at 8.27am, leaves on February 15.  Retrograde Saturn at 4 degrees and 21 minutes of Libra, Pluto at 4 degrees and 21 minutes of Capricorn.

This aspect was around during November and December last year: Saturn was at 1 degree and 42 minutes of Libra and Pluto was at 1 degree and 42 minutes of Capricorn.

'As I mentioned in my post about the entry of Saturn into Libra here, this first major aspect that Saturn makes reminds me a bit of a 'baptism of fire'!

This aspect also energises the relatively recent entry of Pluto into Capricorn.  The square suggests tension and a turning point being reached through being in a situation that finally makes us do something about a long standing (outer planets) situation that desperately needs to change.  Depending on your own birth chart the way you experience this square will vary.

Both planets can represent what we fear, but also the potential for change... Saturn on a structural level, Pluto at a deeper, emotional level.

This combination then gives us the chance now to make profound changes in our lives that will free us from our fears, through acknowledging them and then reaching a major cross-road and turning point in our new understand and freedom in our lives.

By looking at where this transit is happening in your birth chart you can get a better idea of how to utilise the energy constructively.  Also look to see which houses are ruled by Saturn (Capricorn and Aquarius), and Pluto (Scorpio).'

Venus Conjunct Neptune...

starts on February 7 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact in Kilmore on February 8 at 4.44pm, leaves on February 9.  Both at 25 degrees and 54 minutes of Aquarius.

Venus, the planet that represents our values, how we relate to others and also of the fun stuff in life connecting with Neptune (associated with fantasy, lack of boundaries and total merging) suggests that there is something or someone that may seem to good to be true in our lives right now.  Unfortunately, whatever or whoever it is, it probably IS too good to be true!

However, this combination is an excellent one for anything artistic and/or creative; and also for some harmless daydreaming... so get to it!

As usual, it's a good idea to see where this conjunction is happening in your own birth chart to get a feel for what or who may need clarification.  Also look to see which houses are ruled by Venus (ones with Taurus and Libra on the cusps), and Neptune (one with Pisces on the cusp).

If you have personal planets or points in Aquarius, then you are likely to feel this energy as being especially strong.

Leo Full Moon...

today in Kilmore at 5.18pm at 10 degrees and 14 minutes of Leo.

The Full Moon period is often a time when emotions run high, and being in Leo it seems that this feeling will be stronger than usual! As well, you can see in the chart that the Moon is conjunct the retrograde Mars, adding even more fuel to this fiery Full Moon: suggesting that we could all benefit from counting to ten before acting around this period of time.

Venus continues to be a saving grace as it has been over the last few lunations.   Perhaps you can look to see which houses are ruled by her in order to get a feel for where you can access some diplomatic help!

If you have personal planets or points in Leo or Aquarius then this is likely to be an especially pivotal time - most likely in regards to a relationship.

Sun Opposing Retrograde Mars...

starts on January 29 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on January 30 at 6.43am in Kilmore, leaves on January 30.  Sun at 9 degrees and 47 minutes of Aquarius, retrograde Mars at 9 degrees and 47 minutes of Leo.

Both the Sun and Mars are known for their association with 'ego' and for turning up the heat (so to speak) on whatever they touch in the birth chart.  The combination of these planets via the opposition isn't the easiest to deal with, especially since Mars is in such a bad way being in stubborn Leo and retrograde: this suggests that people and situations represented by Mars in your life are likely to be at a low point and be sensitive to threats to their ego and be trying to hold on (fixed sign) to the way things were.

The Sun hitting on the sensitive Mars right now seems to be putting a spotlight on whatever is bothering the retrograde Mars: this can mean that Mars will be willing to look at what is being highlighted so that something can be done about the situation, or they may be too blinded by the (sun)light to see past it.

However, even though the opposition can mean someone or something is opposing us, through this conflict we all have the opportunity to become more aware by looking at the crux of the matter, or we can chose to be 'blinded' by our own ego issues.

As usual, look to see where this opposition is falling in your birth chart to get an idea of where it may be experienced... also look to see which houses are ruled by Venus and Mars!  If you have personal planets or points in Aquarius and/or Leo then you are likely to feel this energy as being especially strong.

Venus Opposing Retrograde Mars...

enters on January 27 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on January 27 at 4.29pm in Kilmore, leaves on January 28.  Venus at 10 degrees and 50 minutes of Aquarius, retrograde Mars at 10 degrees and 50 minutes of Leo.

This is a the traditional planetary pair that represents the feminine and masculine... and the opposition usually represents the need to balance and compromise (I always imagine a see-saw in my mind when I see an opposition!).  Mars is currently retrograde in Leo, so isn't in the best shape: this suggests that the people and situations represented by Mars in your own chart are likely to need allowances to be made for them.  It looks like Venus will need to compromise a little in order to allow Mars to work through whatever it has to.

As usual, look to see where this transit is happening in your birth chart and which houses are ruled by Venus and Mars to get a feel for where adjustment and compromise may be needed.

If you have personal planets or points in Leo or Aquarius you are likely to feel this transit quite strongly.
