starts on March 26 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on March 27 at 12.39pm in Kilmore, leaves on March 28. Both at 29 degrees and 44 minutes of Aquarius.
Venus, the planet that represents our values, how we relate to others and also of the fun stuff in life connecting with Neptune (associated with fantasy, lack of boundaries and total merging) suggests that there is something or someone that may seem to good to be true in our lives right now. Unfortunately, whatever or whoever it is, it probably IS too good to be true!
However, this combination is an excellent one for anything artistic and/or creative; and also for some harmless daydreaming... so get to it!
As usual, it's a good idea to see where this conjunction is happening in your own birth chart to get a feel for what or who may need clarification. Also look to see which houses are ruled by Venus (ones with Taurus and Libra on the cusps), and Neptune (one with Pisces on the cusp).
If you have personal planets or points in Aquarius, then you are likely to feel this energy as being especially strong.

Venus Conjunct Neptune...
Friday, March 4, 2011
Venus enters Aquarius...
on March 2 at 1.39pm in Kilmore.
The move of Venus from the cardinal, earthy sign of Capricorn into the airy and fixed sign of Aquarius suggests that the people and themes represented by this planet in your birth chart are moving onto more solid ground... as solid as an airy sign can be anyway!
As usual, look to see which house she is travellling through to get an idea of where to expect a bit of ease and fun (and also where you may find love if you are looking!), and which houses are ruled by her (ones with Taurus or Libra on or in them) to get a feel for what or who is likely to become more stable and open to communication.
Those of you with with personal planets or points in Aquarius are likely to benefit from having Venus travelling through this sign.

Mercury Conjunct Neptune...
starts on February 20 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 21 at 12.07pm in Kilmore, leaves on February 22. Both at 28 degrees and 31 minutes of Aquarius.
Mercury, the planet of communication and connection with others and the world around us joining forces with the confusing and idealistic Neptune can be a tricky combination to work with. Although it is an excellent one for creative writing, expressing something artistic and/or for daydreaming in general, it generally isn't good for viewing people and situations clearly.
Since this is a conjunction, this usually indicates a 'meeting'... Mercury is the one chasing Neptune, so it seems that whatever or whoever is represented by Mercury is the one who is doing the chasing. Look to see which houses are ruled by Mercury (ones with Gemini or Virgo on the cusp), to get an idea of what or who this may be... the same applies to Neptune. Look to see which house is ruled by Pisces to get a feel for what or who will be visited by the nimble Mercury during this time. Whatever and whoever is represented by this conjunction will need to be looked at using FACTS (rather than assumptions)... this will help ease any confusion or misunderstanding.
Also look to see where this conjunction is happening to get a feel for where this meeting of energies may occur, for example, if it falls in your 4th house it may be at home.
If you have personal planets or points in Aquarius then you are likely to feel this aspect quite strongly.

Mars Conjunct Neptune...
starts on February 20 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 21 at 3.17pm in Kilmore, leaves on February 22. Both at 28 degrees and 31 minutes of Aquarius.
Mars represents and energy, drive and direction whilst Neptune is about being nebulous, foggy and/or spiritual. Combining these two energies can be expressed in a lot of different ways but the first mix that I get a feel for is being confused about which direction to take on an issue represented by where this conjunction occurs in your natal chart.
I think that one of the most constructive ways to utilise this energy is through working on something or with someone where there is an altruistic element to the activity. Artistic endeavours are also good.
Being a conjunction, this energy gives us the chance to make a fresh start.
Full Moon in Aquarius...
The days around the time of a Full Moon are generally ones where emotions are heightened, and feelings run a bit rampant! They are also a period of time when a new awareness comes about, particularly in relation to something or someone that came into our lives at around the time of the last New Moon.
This lunation is in Aquarius, a fixed, air sign: suggesting that there is a focus on perhaps mentally either needing to show more flexibility... or less!
As you can see in the actual chart, there are a whole lot of planets bunched up around the Sun... I'm only looking at the ones in Aquarius so we have have Mercury, Mars, Neptune and then the Sun. What a combination!
The Mercury/Mars/Neptune combination gives me the feeling that communication mix ups may be prominent (Neptune), or the way we think may be a bit too fixed (Aquarius) to see a situation clearly. We may jump to conclusions or think we know it all (Mercury/Mars)!
The good news is that because this is a Full Moon (awareness), we are all more likely to realise or see where this is happening, depending on where this lunation is falling in our birth charts.

Sun Conjunct Neptune...
starts on February 16 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 17 at 8.56pm in Kilmore, leaves February 18. Both at 28 degrees and 22 minutes of Aquarius.
Tricky, but inspirational Neptune is being accented and 'lit up' by the connection with the Sun during this time. The Sun illuminates whatever it touches and the conjunction is an especially powerful connection. It suggests a new, unconscious start or merging of these two energies and the themes/people they represented in your birth chart. The trick is to sort out fantasy from the truth with the involvement of Neptune.
A conjunction is a meeting of two planets, and the Sun is chasing Neptune... symbolically this suggests that whatever or whoever is represented by Neptune is being chased by whatever or whoever is represented by the Sun. By looking at where this conjunction is happening and which houses are ruled by the Sun (house with Leo on the cusp) and Neptune (house with Pisces on cusp), you can get a feel for what, or who this may be.
If you have personal planets or points in Aquarius, then this energy is likely to be especially powerful.

Mercury Trine Retrograde Saturn...
starts on February 14 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 14 at 7.48pm in Kilmore, leaves on February 15. Mercury at 16 degrees and 54 minutes of Aquarius, retrograde Saturn at 16 degrees and 54 minutes of Libra.
Mercury moving through the eccentric but stubborn and airy sign of Aquarius suggests that the way we communicate with others will be pretty open. Saturn is retrograde in Libra, suggesting that we can all expect situations represented by this planet to be regressing or going over old ground.
The connection of Mercury and Saturn through the trine is usually a good one, in that it is a great opportunity for long-term planning, serious discussions and for attending to important paperwork. Look to see where this trine is falling and which houses are ruled by Mercury (ones with Gemini and Virgo on them) and Saturn (ones with Capricorn and Aquarius on the cusp) in order to get a feel for what or who will respond well to this energy.
If you have personal planets and/or points in Aquarius and/or Libra, then you are likely to feel this energy as being especially strong.

Mars Trine Retrograde Saturn...
starts on February 5 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 7 at 4.16am in Kilmore, leaves on February 8. Mars at 17 degrees and 6 minutes of Aquarius, retrograde Saturn at 17 degrees and 6 minutes of Libra.
Mars and Saturn don't usually work well together because of their differing natures, however, the trine is a great way for the energy of Mars to connect with the Saturn energy. Mars is about passion, drive, ego and energy - Saturn is about control, being methodical, precise and adds structure/boundaries. Combining the two through this trine, suggests that we all have the chance to build something in our lives succesfully... it's as though Saturn will be given a positive nudge (forget about a shove - Saturn isn't that quick!), that will help us all to achieve solid progress. Clear communication may be part of the picture because of the air sign involvement.
As usual look to your own chart to see which areas of life or people are represented by these energies.

Sun Trine Retrograde Saturn...
starts on February 5 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 6 at 5.40pm in Kilmore, leaves on February 7. Sun at 17 degrees and 7 minutes of Aquarius, retrograde Saturn at 17 degrees and 7 minutes of Libra.
Retrograde Saturn is still not moving very quickly since it only recently turned retrograde. Symbolically, this stoppage suggests that the situations and people represented by Saturn are at a standstill or may seem as though they are not making any progress or changes at all. Hang in there though, it's as though whatever or whoever is involved is in the process of getting ready to review recent developments or will go back to a previous state.
The Sun illuminates whatever it touches, and the trine to Saturn suggests that we have the opportunity to see what is happening now and to understand it a little better without our ego concerns getting the better of us. This trine can also mean that the people and situations represented by the Sun will work well with the ones represented by Saturn. Look to see where this trine is happening to get a feel, and also look to see which houses are ruled by the Sun (one with Leo on the cusp), and Saturn (ones with Capricorn or Aquarius on the cusp), to get a feel for what and/or who may be involved.
If you have personal planets and/or points in Aquarius or Libra then this transit is likely to be especially important to you.

Mercury enters Aquarius...
on February 4 at 9.19am in Kilmore.
Mercury moving from the serious and sombre Capricorn into the free-wheeling and stubborn sign of Aquarius suggests a change of mental mood. It also suggests a change in the way the people and themes represented by Mercury in your birth chart operate over the next few weeks.
For example, I have Gemini on my 2nd House cusp, so I would expect it to be a bit easier for money to be flowing and for my finances to stabilise (Aquarius is a fixed sign). Virgo also rules my 4th and 5th Houses, so I would also expect family situations and members to become more stable - perhaps stubborn!
The house that Mercury is in or moving to as it changes sign is also an area that you can expect to become much busier as it travels through it. If you are an Aquarian, expect the next few weeks to be quite hectic!

New Moon in Aquarius...
The New Moon is generally a time for something or someone new to come into our lives... as described by where the lunation falls in your birth chart. Usually, there is a lack of awareness of the importance of developments, so it may take time for us all to realise what the situations happening now actually mean for us later on down the track!
Being in the fixed, air sign of Aquarius suggests that either have to learn to be more stable in our thinking, or STOP being stubborn in the same way! Either way there has to be a balance and a new way of approaching situations that are represented by this New Moon for us all. Stability is likely to be important as part of this fresh start and also a new way of thinking and/or communicating since this lunation is in an air sign.
Looking at the aspects to this New Moon, the first one (and probably the most important one) is the close conjunction from Mars... as you probably know, this planet tends to fire up and energies whatever it touches: the conjunction is especially powerful in getting things moving! Mars may represent a person, or simply being motivated to get moving with something or someone new as part of this lunation.
The good news with this New Moon is that we have Saturn trining it, suggesting that help and support from Saturn in stabilising the sometimes impulsive energy of Mars as part of the picture! Positive growth and stability are indicated with this mix of energies.

Sun Conjunct Mars...
starts on January 31 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 5 at 3.40am in Kilmore, leaves on February 9. Both at 15 degrees and 30 minutes of Aquarius.
A conjunction generally brings the opportunity for a fresh start, so this is the chance to let go of old ways of approaching the people and situations represented by this conjunction.
The involvement of both the Sun and Mars in this conjunction is likely to be a bit fiery, since both planets are ones associated with ego stuff... they are also both masculine planets so issues involving men may be more prominent than usual. This conjunction between the Sun and Mars happens about every two years.
By looking at which house this conjunction falls in, and which house has Aquarius on the cusp, you can get a feel for where you have a major opportunity to make a fresh start and to let go of old ways of approaching situations/relationships. You can also look to see which houses are ruled by the two planets involved (Sun = Leo on the cusp, Mars = Aries/Scorpio on the cusp) to get more detailed information about what or who is likely to be part of the story.
If you have personal planets and/or points in Aquarius then you are likely to be more sensitive than others to this fiery combination!

Sun enters Aquarius...
on January 20 at 9.19pm in Kilmore.
By looking at which house/s are ruled by the Sun, you can get an idea of what or who will change gears when the Sun moves from the serious and hard-working Capricorn into the stable and social sign of Aquarius (there is still a bit of a serious side to Aquarius, since this sign in traditional astrology is ruled by Saturn as well).
Also look to see which house the Sun is travelling through to get an idea of which relationships and areas of life are likely to be 'lit up' as the Sun travels around your chart!

Mars enters Aquarius...
on January 16 at 9.41am in Kilmore.
Mars changing signs is always important because it means that our energy levels will change (and where we focus our energy on also changes).
The move from Capricorn to Aquarius means that the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) will be given a boost of energy that can be quite powerful and will need to be handled consciously. Aggression vs assertion will be a fine line for the fixed people!
By looking at which house Mars is travelling through and which house has Aquarius on the cusp, you can get a feel for which areas of life, and which relationships, are about to be given an energy shot. You may also notice that the themes represented by the houses ruled by Mars (ones with Aries or Scorpio on the cusp), may also shift gears from being 'Capricorn' in flavour, more to being 'Aquarian'.
Those of you with personal planets and/or points in Aquarius are likely to find this to be an important time in redefining where you will focus your energy.

Venus Square Neptune...
starts on January 3 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on January 4 at 7.27pm in Kilmore, leaves on January 5. Venus at 26 degrees and 49 minutes of Scorpio, Neptune at 26 degrees and 49 minutes of Aquarius.
Venus, the planet associated with enjoyment and pleasure connecting with Neptune can be the best thing in the world, but it can also create problems because we are not viewing certain challenges clearly. Neptune tends to cloud and confuse whatever it touches, but it can also move us on to new heights: however, the square aspect tends to suggest the first option.
By looking at which houses are involved - ie, which houses Venus and Neptune are travelling through, and also which houses are ruled by these planets (Venus = ones with Taurus or Libra on the cusp, Neptune = house cusp with Pisces on it) you can also get a feel for what or who may be a source of confusion for you. It may be better that you make a major decision (especially with Mercury just coming out of being retrograde), involving these people and areas of your life for another time.
Those of you with personal planets in Scorpio and/or Aquarius may feel this energy as especially prominent.

Sun Square Neptune...
starts on November 17 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on November 18 at 8.54pm in Kilmore, leaves on November 19. Sun at 25 degrees and 56 minutes of Scorpio, Neptune at 25 degrees and 56 minutes of Aquarius.
Imagine driving through a thick fog and naively thinking that putting your high beam on will help you see more clearly... this is a bit of what this transit may be like: the thick fog is Neptune, and the high beam is the Sun! It seems that an area of our life or a certain person (Neptune) is the scene for confusion, lack of clarity and/or even deception. However hard we try to look at it clearly (Sun) it seems that we make it worse by trying too hard! The square aspect suggests that a turning point is going to be reached though... it seems that the best approach is to stick to facts.
As usual look at which houses the planets are travelling through in order to get a feel for where the 'fog' is (Neptune) and where you may be looking too hard (Sun). Also look at the houses ruled by Neptune (one with Pisces on the cusp, and the Sun (one with Leo on the cusp).
If you have personal planets/points in Scorpio and/or Aquarius then you may be especially prone to 'foggy' vision!
Thursday, October 21, 2010
Mars Square Retrograde Neptune...
starts on October 21 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on October 23 at 2.35am in Kilmore, leaves on October 24. Mars at 25 degrees and 58 minutes of Scorpio, retrograde Neptune at 25 degrees and 58 minutes of Aquarius.
Fogs and mists are what I think of when I see this combination... because that is what happens when you mix heat (Mars) with water (Neptune)!
Mars is the planet of action, direction and energy and the connection with Neptune - a bit of a contrast to Mars - represents being lost at sea, cloudiness and being blown around on the currents of life, suggests that the relationships and areas of life being affected by this transit will tend to become confused.
Because the square aspect is so powerful, it tends to exaggerate these qualities... the square also suggests a clash or challenge to the way we usually handle situations... in this case a tricky character may make us feel unsure of what we are doing, or perhaps a general lack of energy or sense of purpose may temporarily plague us?
As usual, look at which houses this transit falls in to get a feel for what or who may pose a confusing challenge, and also which houses are ruled by Mars (ones with Aries or Scorpio on the cusp) and Neptune (one with Pisces on the cusp).
If you have personal planets and/or points in Scorpio or Aquarius you may be especially sensitive to this transit.

Sun Trine Retrograde Neptune...
starts on October 18 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on October 19 at 11.18pm in Kilmore, leaves on October 20. Sun at 26 degrees of Libra, retrograde Neptune at 26 degrees of Aquarius.
The connection of the Sun through a lovely trine to the emotional and creative Neptune bodes well for a happy period of time where it comes to the situations and relationships represented by these two planets in your birth chart. It seems that previous barriers to happiness and progress will ease off, leaving room for enjoyment of the potential offered - particularly of the Neptunian energy!
Neptune moving backwards so suggests that whatever or whoever is regressing and possibly frustrating you, will perhaps begin to make sense, alternatively, you could see the benefit of this process.
As usual, look to see where this aspect is falling in your birth chart and which houses are ruled by the Sun (one with Leo on the cusp) and Neptune (one with Pisces on the cusp) in order to see what or who is likely to be going well for you!
If you have personal planets and/or points in Libra and/or Aquarius then you may feel this energy more strongly than others.

Mercury Trine Retrograde Neptune...
starts on October 18 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on October 18 in Kilmore at 11.03pm, leaves on October 19. Mercury at 26 degrees and 1 minute of Libra, retrograde Neptune at 26 degrees and 1 minute of Aquarius.
Mercury represents communication and change, and Neptune represents beauty, escapism and fantasy (amongst other things!). The combination of these two energies by the easygoing and flowing trine suggests that through using your imagination and a bit of creativity you are likley to achieve a lot.
By looking at what and who are represented by Mercury and Neptune (look to see where these planets are in terms of house position), and also by looking at which houses are ruled by Mercury (ones with Gemini and/or Virgo on the cusp) and Neptune (house cusp with Pisces on it), you can get an idea of where help is available!
If you have personal planets and/or points in Libra and/or Aquarius then you are likely to feel this energy more than others.

Mars Trine Retrograde Neptune...
starts on September 9 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on September 10 at 11.16am in Kilmore, leaves on September 11. Mars at 26 degrees and 44 minutes of Libra, retrograde Neptune at 26 degrees and 44 minutes of Aquarius.
Mars and Neptune don't usually work very well together since Mars is usually association with a 'he-man' action figure type of energy, and Neptune is the nebulous and foggy energy that is difficult to pin down. However, the trine aspect between suggests that they can both work well together while connecting in this way.
It suggests that we all have the opportunity to achieve (Mars) or at least get closer to a special dream, creative pursuit or person (Neptune) as represented by these energies in our own birth charts. Connecting with others may be the key since these planets are in air signs.
As usual, look at where this aspect falls in your birth chart and which houses are ruled by Mars (ones with Aries and Scorpio on the cusp) and Neptune (one with Pisces on the cusp) in order to get a feel for what or who may be involved.
If you have personal planets and/or points in Libra and/or Aquarius, then you may be especially sensitive to this transit.
