Jupiter enters Taurus...

on June 4 at 11.56pm in Kilmore.

Jupiter shifting gears is generally something to look forward to, since it brings a shift in where we can expect growth, opportunity, positive change and learning.  This planet is associated with many things that bring us the opportunity to grow at various levels... physically (too much yummy food and drink!), emotionally, mentally, etc.  It is naturally associated with spirituality, justice, learning and teaching.

At least some of these themes are likely to bring benefit into our lives in different ways, depending on your individual birth chart.  Look to see which house Jupiter is travelling through, and also which house cusp has Taurus on it to get a feel for where to expect benefits from this year long visit.

Also remember that Jupiter will be in a trine aspect by sign to Pluto so will have some pretty powerful support in bringing a deeper expression to this Jupiter transit.

Mercury Conjunct Jupiter...

starts on May 11 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on May 12 at 12.42am in Kilmore, leaves on May 13.  Both at 24 degrees and 49 minutes of Aries.

This aspect was around on March 16, and April 12.  The original post can be found here.  The rejoining of Mercury and Jupiter represents a third and final chance for taking hold of the opportunities that the joining of these forces represent, so look back to the previous conjunctions to get a feel for what you may have a second chance at now.

Venus Conjunct Jupiter...

starts on May 11 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on May 12 in Kilmore at 12.42am, leaves on May 13.  Both at 24 degrees and 46 minutes of Aries.

This is likely to be a lovely combination, depending on where it falls in your birth chart.  Both Venus and Jupiter are usually lucky planets, and the two of them together seem to amplify this theme.  This obviously can be a good thing, but it can also mean that we expect too much of whatever or whoever is involved in or represented by these energies.

Since Venus is chasing Jupiter... symbolically it suggests that whatever or whoever is represented by Venus is 'chasing' whatever or whoever is represented by Jupiter.  The conjunction suggests a meeting, melding and/or joining forces of these people/themes.  For example, if you have this conjunction happening in your 10th House, there may be a meeting about or involving career matters or people or in a setting outside of the home that ends up being quite lucky for you.

Mars Conjunct Jupiter...

starts on April 29 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on May 1 at 2.26pm in Kilmore, leaves on May 3.  Both at 22 degrees and 20 minutes of Aries.

Mars can act like a trigger for long-standing energies, like Jupiter, and give it a kick start into action: the conjunction of these two planets suggest to me that we will all have a better idea of where and how the transiting Jupiter will work for us through developments that come up now.

Conjunctions are something or someone new, so a new project, person or life situation is likely to be embodied by this energy. Looking at how and where these energies are playing out in your own chart will give you some clues as to where to look for this opportunity for a fresh and powerful new start.

Look at the house where this conjunction is happening, and also which house are ruled by Mars (ones with Aries and Scorpio on the cusp) and Jupiter (ones with Sagittarius and Pisces on the cusp), to get a feel for what or who may be part of an exciting new start for you.

Retrograde Mercury Conjunct Jupiter...

This aspect was around on March 16, and happened before Mercury went retrograde.  The original post can be found here.  The rejoining of Mercury and Jupiter represents a second chance for taking hold of the opportunities that the joining of these forces represent, so look back to what or who came into you life in mid-March to get a feel for what you may have a second chance at now.

Also remember that when Mercury starts to go forward again, that there will be a third and final opportunity coming around again.

Sun Conjunct Jupiter...

starts on April 5 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on April 7 at 12.40am in Kilmore, leaves on April 8.  Both at 16 degrees and 27 minutes of Aries.


The Sun, as I have mentioned many times before, highlights whatever it touches in the sky and energises it.  Jupiter is about growth, opportunity and also what brings meaning to your life.  The meeting of these two energies suggests that the opportunity that will be around for the next few months while Jupiter travels through Aries, will be highlighted for us all.  It's like someone will put a spotlight on where our opportunity for growth is, making us more aware of which direction to take.

Conjunctions are also associated with something or someone new... so by looking at where this conjunction falls in your birth chart, you can keep an eye out for this new opportunity for growth.  Also look to see which houses are ruled by the Sun (Leo), and Jupiter (Sagittarius and Pisces) for what or who may be 'coming together' for this new start or opportunity.

Mercury Conjunct Jupiter...

starts on March 15 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on March 16 at 12.26pm in Kilmore, leaves on March 17.  Both at 11 degrees and 16 minutes of Aries.

This is a lovely meeting of planets that should bring at least a better state of mind regarding the people and matters represented by them in your birth chart!

Mercury represents many things, including young people, news, short trips, communication in general, siblings and our attitude to life in general; Jupiter represents opportunity, growth (sometimes too much!), learning and what brings meaning to our existence.

The conjunction is usually something or someone new, and carries the quality of being unconscious or unaware of the future potential of this new person or thing.  The Mercury/Jupiter combination promises something that will brighten our frame of mind and increase our optimism for the future.

Jupiter Square Pluto...

starts on February 21 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 26 at 7.40am in Kilmore, leaves on March 3.  Jupiter at 7 degrees and 2 minutes of Aries, Pluto at 7 degrees and 2 minutes of Capricorn.

This is the final square in a series of three that was exact on on July 25, 2010 (Jupiter was then retrograde at 3 degrees and 23 minutes of Aries, and retrograde Pluto was at 3 degrees and 23 minutes of Capricorn); and again on August 3, 2010 - retrograde Jupiter at 3 degrees and 12 minutes of Aries, retrograde Pluto at 3 degrees and 12 minutes of Capricorn.

Venus Square Jupiter...

starts on February 6 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 7 at 6.39am in Kilmore, leaves o February 8.  Venus at 2 degrees and 55 minutes of Capricorn, Jupiter at 2 degrees and 55 minutes of Aries.

Both Venus and Jupiter are planets known as 'benefics', as in they tend to bring the good things and people into our lives and/or attention.  However, too much of anything or anyone can sometimes NOT be a good thing!

Because the aspect between these two planets is a stressful one, it does suggest that there are areas of our lives where we may be overdoing things, or perhaps people represented by them are taking more than they are giving right now.

Jupiter re-enters Aries...

on January 23 at 4.11am in Kilmore.

Jupiter first went into Aries on June 6 and stayed there until September 9, when it re-entered Pisces whilst retrograde.  This second entrance gives us all a second chance to make the most of this wonderful energy.

Mercury Square Jupiter...

starts on January 11 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on January 12 at 7.37am in Kilmore, leaves on January 13.  Mercury at 28 degrees and 8 minutes of Sagittarius, Jupiter at 28 degrees and 8 minutes of Pisces.

Like the Mercury/Uranus square... this is the final in a serious of squares to Jupiter from Mercury.  The first one was on November 26, 2010 and the second one was on December 22, 2010.  Have a look at the original post about this aspect here.


The good news is that situations in general (as symbolised in our individual birth charts) should start to settle down and become more reliable once this aspect has been completed.

Venus Trine Jupiter...

starts on January 3 (using a 1 degree orb), exact on January 5 at 12.39am in Kilmore, leaves on January 6.  Venus at 27 degrees and 2 minutes of Scorpio, Jupiter at 27 degrees and 2 minutes of Pisces.


Combined with the trine to Uranus, this is an especially lovely aspect to have and is likely to highlight the benefits and opportunities that the current Jupiter/Uranus conjunction is or will be bringing into our lives!

Both Venus and Jupiter are known to bring good fortune and pleasure into our lives, and the two connecting with a lovely trine suggest that they are working together to at least give us a period of respite from some of the difficulties we may be experiencing at this time, or at least some more support!

As usual, look to see where this aspect is falling and which houses are ruled by Venus (ones with Taurus or Libra on the cusp) and Jupiter (ones with Sagittarius or Pisces on the cusp) in order to get a feel for where you may get a lucky break.

Retrograde Mercury Square Jupiter...

starts on December 21 (using a 1 degree orb), exact on December 22 at 11.59am in Kilmore, leaves on December 23.  Retrograde Mercury at 25 degrees and 20 minutes of Sagittarius, Jupiter at 25 degrees and 20 minutes of Pisces.

Since Mercury is retrograde, this energy pattern happened recently... on November 26 and will repeat again once Mercury turns direct later this month.  You can find the original post from the last Mercury/Jupiter square here.

The difference this time is that the person and situations represented by Mercury look as though they will be regressing as part of developments now.

Sun Square Jupiter...

starts on December 16 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on December 17 in Kilmore at 8.47am, leaves on December 18.  Sun at 24 degrees and 49 minutes of Sagittarius, Jupiter at 24 degrees and 49 minutes of Pisces.

The Sun acts as a trigger to the longer term energies operating in the sky... in this case the expansive Jupiter is being touched by this illuminating planet.  Jupiter is about opportunity, growth, joy and if taken too far, lack of boundaries, arrogance and/or taking on more than we can handle in the long term.

The square aspect is a dynamic and energetic one, further adding the potential to take things a bit too far with this Jupiter energy!  It is important to keep the areas of life and relationships represented by Jupiter in your birth chart 'realistic' at this time.  The square also represents a period of tension, but also resolution and a turning point being reached (in this case it is likely that a change in the way you do things is needed).

As usual, look to see where this aspect is happening in your birth chart to get a feel for what or who will be the scene for a bit of stress, but resolution.  Also look to see which houses are ruled by the Sun (one with Leo on the cusp) and Jupiter (ones with Sagittarius and/or Pisces on the cusp).

Mars Square Jupiter...

starts on November 28 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on November 30 at 1.51am in Kilmore, leaves on December 1. Mars at 23 degrees and 41 minutes of Sagittarius, Jupiter at 23 degrees and 41 minutes of Pisces.

Both of these planets are energetic, vigourous and like some action and the both connecting through a highly energetic aspect suggests that we all need to watch that we don't, or haven't already, bitten off more than we can chew!  They also tend to be a bit on the impatient side, so it's important not to rush things at this stage.

Having said all of this though, it seems that it IS the time to take action in at least some ways... I think that as long as we remain conscious of what is going on around us then we are more likely to use this energy constructively rather than wasting it through hasty actions.

Mercury Square Jupiter...

starts on November 25 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on November 26 at 1.18am in Kilmore, leaves on November 26.  Mercury at 23 degrees and 34 minutes of Sagittarius, Jupiter at 23 degrees and 34 minutes of Pisces.


Mercury, the planet associated with data, communication and our thinking connecting with the expansive, optimistic and happy-go-lucky Jupiter is usually a good thing, causing us all to feel more optimist than usual.  However, too much of anything is not productive in most cases!

The combination of these two energies through the dynamic square adds further fuel to this already powerful connection.  It seems that we will all need to watch for exaggeration, taking things too far and perhaps blowing things out of proportion. 

However, the square also represents a turning point being reached with the people and situations represented by these two energies in your birth chart.

By looking at which houses Mercury and Jupiter are travelling through, and which ones they rule (Mercury = Gemini or Virgo on the cusp; Jupiter = Sagittarius or Pisces on the cusp) you can get an idea of what or who may need moderation!

Sun Trine Retrograde Jupiter...

starts on November 15, is exact on November 16 at 10.44am in Kilmore, leaves on November 17.  Sun at 22 degrees and 31 minutes of Scorpio, retrograde Jupiter at 22 degrees and 31 minutes of Pisces.


As I have mentioned in other posts, the Sun highlights whatever it touches... a bit like a beam of light coming out of the Sun, and reaching into the darkness and bringing to light something that the beam touches on.  In this case the beam of light is landing nicely on Jupiter!

Jupiter is associated with growth, opportunity and apparent luck... so the Sun is likely to be showing us where our opportunities are at this point in our lives.  By looking at where these planets are we can get a feel for what or who is bringing us joy and/or growth.

Also look to the houses ruled by the Sun (one with Leo on the cusp), and Jupiter (ones with Sagittarius or Pisces on the cusp) to get more information.

Jupiter goes Direct...

on November 19 at 3.54am in Kilmore at 23 degrees and 29 minutes of Pisces.

What a day it is today... not only is Jupiter going direct today - so is Venus!  A double whammy of the lucky planets moving forward is certainly something to look forward to.

Jupiter moving forward is likely to mean that whatever or whoever is represented by and affected by it in your birth chart, will also begin to make progress and move forwards again.  Look at which house Jupiter is travelling through and also the one with Pisces on the cusp, as well as the house with Sagittarius on the cusp in order to get a feel for what or who may be involved.

Mercury Trine Retrograde Jupiter...

starts on November 4 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on November 5 at 8.46am in Kilmore, leaves on November 6.  Mercury at 23 degrees and 49 minutes of Scorpio, retrograde Jupiter at 23 degrees and 49 minutes of Jupiter.

Mercury is the planet associated with the way we think, communicate and connect with the world around us: Jupiter tends to be associated with growth, opportunity and optimism.  The houses ruled by these planets (Mercury = houses with Gemini or Virgo on the cusp; Jupiter = houses with Sagittarius or Pisces on the cusp).

The trine tends to form a productive link between the people and situations represented by these two planets, for example if you have Gemini Rising then you have Sagittairus on your 7th house cusp - in this example you would be represented by Mercury since it rules your Ascendant, and your partner would be represented by Jupiter since it rules your 7th house.  The trine aspect suggests that you will work together well during the time of this aspect.

Jupiter, the planet associated with opportunities, good fortune and growth has been travelling backwards for some time now and this suggests that we have all had the chance to 'go back' to something or someone for another chance at happiness or success. 

Mars is the planet of action and energy and is quite strong in Scorpio - it tends to energise whatever it touches.  In this case it is activating Jupiter... suggesting that we will  have the opportunity to access the lucky and happy energies of this planet.  The trine aspect generally suggests progress and ease of movement.
