New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Cancer...
Wow... what a line-up! This eclipse is very important in so many ways that it's hard to know where to start.
The first point, I think, is that this is a New Moon... always an opportunity for a fresh start in the area of life being represented by the house placement of it... in this case 9 degrees of Cancer. I would even extend this theme to the house cusp with Cancer on it as well... for example you may have 27 degrees of Leo on the MC, placing this New Moon in your 10th... but you may then also have 26 degrees of Cancer on the 11th. So, I would look at both the 10th and 11th in this case.
Being an eclipse, this is an exceptionally powerful lunation: and opportunity to really make tangible changes to your life because of the outer planet involvement (look at Uranus, Saturn and Pluto!).
Those of you with personal points and/or planets in the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and/or Capricorn) may feel that events around this time shift the ground beneath your feet, and set you on a totally new life course. This will be especially relevant if you have these placements within a few degrees either side of 9 degrees of the cardinal signs.

Sagittarian Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse...
This is the second eclipse in a series of three, so we are in the midst of a busy time!
First looking at this lunation simply as a Full Moon phase, this is usually a time of heightened emotions and awareness, and gives the opportunity for a new level of objectivity in the areas of life symbolised by the house placement of it within our birth charts.
Being a Lunar Eclipse simply magnifies these trends by about a billion! lol
So, look at where this Lunar Eclipse falls in your chart to get a feel for where you are about to be 'illuminated' through a realisation or other development. Obviously, the house position will give you clues in regards to who or what may be part of the process.
Looking at the aspects, you can see that the Sun and Mercury are conjunct - this is nothing too unusual since they aren't usually that far apart, but they are pretty close. This (to me, anyway!) suggests the need for change and/or flexibility in the areas represented by where the Sun/Mercury are, especially since they are in Gemini.
If you have personal planets/points in either Gemini or Sagittarius, then you are likely to be especially sensitive to this Lunar Eclipse.

New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Gemini...
A New Moon is generically a time when we all have the opportunity to make a fresh start, particularly in the areas represented by the House in which this lunation falls in. For example, this New Moon falls in my 1st House and I have Gemini on my 2nd House cusp, so I could perhaps think of ways I would like to approach life and to redefine my values in new ways.
Being an eclipse brings an even bigger focus to this lunation... and a big opportunity to become more aware of the matters relating to it.
Usually around the time of an eclipse there is a development that shakes us out of our comfort zone or creates a new level of awareness associated with the areas of life represented by the House involvement as mentioned earlier.
For those of you that use Chiron in your astrological toolbox, you will note that it squares this lunation. To me, this suggests that there is an opportunity to experience healing, but before this can happen we all need to realise where our wounds are and perhaps to reopen them before being able to work at the healing process.
This is supported by the trine from Saturn... so by examining where it is in our birth charts, we can look at what and who is helping us along or where we can get support. Restructuring and practical support, as well as a bit of old-fashioned elbow grease is associated with Saturn.
If you have any personal planets and/or points in Gemini then this is likely to be a pivotal time in your life!

New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Capricorn...
Like the last eclipses, this one looks pretty intense and serious because of the involvement of Pluto! Have a look at the line up in Capricorn!
As I just mentioned, there's the intense Pluto/Node conjunction starting off the stellium in Capricorn, then the New Moon Eclipse, followed by the fiery Mars. You can see that Saturn joins in the picture through the square it makes to this lunation. I am just focusing on the aspects made to the actual lunation, so there isn't a lot else happening in terms of the joining of forces with other planets to this eclipse/lunation.
The square here is actually likely to be helpful in getting the energy moving, since squares are pretty dynamic (even though they can be frustrating)! Look at where Saturn is in your birth chart and which houses are ruled by him in order to get a feel for where you could be experiencing intense frustration, but also where you can expect a breakthrough around the time of this eclipse.
As usual, look to see where this eclipse and various planets fall in your birth chart to get a feel for what to expect... this one is especially important for people with personal planets and points in Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and/or Libra.

Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius...
The energies around us all during the period of a Full Moon are all more powerful, with emotions in particularly being heightened. Since this is also a lunar eclipse, this is exceptionally true.
This lunation falls in the final degree of Sagittarius, giving this changeable Sagittarian Full Moon an even more unstable or uncertain feel to it. It seems the key to achieving some sort of balance is in handling the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction that forms the focal point of this transiting T-Square.
By looking at this Jupiter/Uranus conjunction by house position, and also which houses they rule (Jupiter = Sagittarius and Pisces, Uranus = Aquarius) you can look at which areas of your life or which people may be pivotal to handling this Full Moon successfully.

New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Cancer...
Compared to the last eclipse (the lunar one), this one is a walk in the park! Eclipses generally bring a period of 'illumination' to the areas and relationships represented by the houses involved.
The Solar Eclipse is also a New Moon, so represents an extra powerful opportunity to make a fresh start in the areas of life represented by the house it falls in. The sextile from Mars is very helpful, but suggests a bit of elbow-grease will be needed to get things off the ground.
Being in the sign of Cancer, suggests that we will have the motivation we need to make this fresh start, and that 'security' may be part of the reason for making changes now.

Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn...
Intense times! Have a look at the close conjunction of the eclipsed Moon with Pluto, and the Sun/Mercury conjunction. This is all being tightly squared and further energised by the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in the fiery Aries.
All of these aspects occur in cardinal signs... which are known for wanting to be boss: so symbolically it's almost as if there a too many chiefs in our lives wanted to run the show!
The key to balancing the energies around this eclipse is to carefully handle the energetic Jupiter/Uranus conjunction as this is likely to throw out the tension of the eclipse because it is the focal point of a potent t-square. It seems that we do need to take action (Aries), quickly (Uranus) but realistically in terms of our long term capabilities (Jupiter).
Those of you interested in the eclipse path and technical details can find there here.

Capricorn New Moon and Solar Eclipse...
This one looks pretty intense and serious! Have a look at the line up in Capricorn! First of all there is Retrograde Mercury moving in closely towards Pluto... it's as if they are running towards each other in a weird sort of slow motion love scene.
The actual New Moon and actual Eclipse lineup is pretty impressive too. There is the Sun and Moon (of course!), and then Venus in the same degree as the eclipse: Uranus sextiles the three of them, suggesting some help or ease from people and/or areas of life representing by this planet in your birth chart. Having Venus involved so tightly in this eclipse suggests that there is a silver lining to whatever or whoever is prominent around the time of the eclipse, no matter how unexpected or unusual situations end up being! The sextile to Uranus is also suggesting something or someone positive coming from events now.
As usual, look to see where this eclipse and various planets fall in your birth chart to get a feel for what to expect... this one is especially important for people with personal planets and points in Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and/or Libra.

Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse...
Wow, intense times - again! You can see in the chart that this lunation includes the involvement of Venus and Pluto; and also Mercury retrograde with a very wide orb. Saturn squares this lunation.
The period around a Full Moon is usually one of illumination and being able to view situations affected by it more objectively than usual... the eclipse further accentuates this. For example, when there is no Full Moon imagine a dark room... the Full Moon is like putting on a 60 watt light and illuminating the room we are in... the eclipse is like switching on a 1000 watt globe for a second or two. Obviously you would be temporarily blinded, but still get a powerful glimpse of what is really going on in that room you are in. The contrasts would be harsh but obvious!
The room you are in could be likened to which houses are being affected by this lunar eclipse. Look to see where it is falling to get an idea of where illumination is likely to occur. There is a fair amount of debate regarding how long the eclipse affects us for. Personally I think the effects are around for about a month either side of it, and also when the Sun or Mars travels through the same sign as the eclipses over the coming year.
This lunation/eclipse is likely to clearly show us where we need to change something (Saturn/Pluto square), and also who or what is supporting us (the involvement of Venus).

Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse...
today in Kilmore at 10.55am at 13 degrees and 43 minutes of Aquarius.
This is the last eclipse on the Leo/Aquarius axis that has been happening over the last couple of years, heralding the end of a strong focus on the areas of life represented by the houses that these signs fall in.
So, this eclipse to me in a broad sense suggests that we all have the chance to sort out some loose ends as we move into a new eclipse cycle (which started last month) on the Cancer/Capricorn axis.

New Moon and Eclipse in Cancer...
today in Kilmore at 12.35pm at 29 degrees and 27 minutes of Cancer.
This is the biggest eclipse of this century and will be seen over China and neighbouring areas, traditionally the areas where the eclipse is in view are where they are supposed to be in effect more so than if you can't see it.
A collegue has put together a great YouTube video that goes into a lot of detail about this event and can be found here.
In the meantime, there are several important themes to keep in mind during this time:
- This is the second New Moon in Cancer suggesting that we are all being given a second chance to make a fresh start in our 'Cancer' parts of the birth chart, or within the family unit and home. Being at the final degree of Cancer suggests that this eclipse will be highlighting something or someone that is teetering on the edge of change or that is unstable in some way. Look to your birth chart for more information.
- The Jupiter/Neptune conjunction is just about out of orb now suggesting that whatever or whoever was out of control, or was the focus in terms of a confusing or even deceptive situation, should begin to clear up - especially with the power of the eclipse to help put things into perspective.
- There is a Venus/Saturn square happening now and suggests a major turning point with our value system, relating skills and/or something else that began in mid August 2008 when these two planets were together. This seems to be a part of the picture that is being illuminated now.

Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse...
today in Kilmore at 7.21pm at 15 degrees and 24 minutes of Capricorn.
Full Moon's are always a pretty energetic time, and this one is also likely to be a serious one as well with the Capricorn flavour added to it. Added to the dynamic of this Full Moon is also the Lunar Eclipse... so watch for the 15th degree of Cancer and Capricorn in your birth chart for clues for how you may experience this Lunar Eclipse.
There are a few theories in how to understand the nature of eclipses, I see them as periods of intense illumination... in the case of Lunar ones these are likely to be periods of emotional understanding being reached in the areas represented by the planets and houses involved in your birth chart with the actual Lunar Eclipse axis.

Mars conjunct Jupiter in (guess what!?).... Aquarius!
This aspect becomes exact today in Kilmore at 3.27am and is quite powerful.
The transit of Mars through this sign is accenting the recent eclipses, adding to the already powerful energy working through Aquarius already. Mars can act like a trigger for long-standing energies, like Jupiter, and give it a kick start into action: the conjunction of these two planets suggest to me that we will all have a better idea of where and how the transiting Jupiter will work for us through developments that come up now.
Conjunctions are something or someone new, so a new project, person or life situation is likely to be embodied by this energy. Looking at how and where these energies are playing out in your own chart will give you some clues as to where to look for this opportunity for a fresh and powerful new start.

Lunar Eclipse... (Full Moon as well)...
today at 12.59am in Kilmore.
This eclipse falls on 20 degrees of Leo/20 degrees of Aquarius... if you have any significant points or planets at these degrees then this eclipse will be especially important for you.
Eclipses are an important time of 'illumination' and highlight the areas of life represented by where the eclipse touches your birth chart.
If you want the technical data and visibility info you can go here. People in Australia will be able to view it.

Mars enters Aquarius...
today at 2.55am in Kilmore.
Mars changing signs is always important because it means that our energy levels will change (and where we focus our energy on also changes).
The move from Capricorn to Aquarius means that the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) will be given a boost of energy that can be quite powerful and will need to be handled consciously. Aggression vs assertion will be a fine line for the fixed people!
Another thing to consider as Mars changes sign is that it will be joining the current line-up of Jupiter, the North Node, Sun, Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius... suggesting that over the next few weeks as Mars moves over these points (apart from the Sun), that we will get an idea of where and how we will be using the energies available to us through these planets. Mars will also go over the recent eclipse points, energising the themes there as well.
Should be an interesting time!
