Mercury Conjunct Pluto...

starts on January 17 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on January 18 at 4.50pm in Kilmore, leaves on January 19.  Both at 5 degrees and 56 minutes of Capricorn.

This is the third conjunction in a serious of three because of the recent retrograde motion of Mercury.  The first one happened on December 6, 2010, the second one was on December 14, 2010.  You can read the original entry here.

The final conjunction happening now gives us all the opportunity to fully understand the situations represented as part of this triple conjunction at a very deep, and powerful level.

Retrograde Mercury Conjunct Saturn...

starts on September 21 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on September 22 at 7.08pm in Kilmore, leaves on September 23. Both at 25 degrees and 34 minutes of Virgo.

Mercury was last conjunct Saturn when it was direct around August 18; so this date and events around it may be important again now as Mercury goes back to it now.

Mercury represents our thinking and the way we connect with the world around us... it is very happy being in Virgo, even if it is travelling backwards! This return to a previous situation or person is likely to mean reassessing a situation that was around in mid-August: look to see which house this conjunction falls in (and also where it fell in August at 22 degrees of Virgo) to get an idea of what needs to be looked at again. Also look to see which houses are ruled by Mercury (Gemini and Virgo), and Saturn (Capricorn and Aquarius) for more clues.

Being in Virgo suggests that we all need to pay attention to the details and perhaps be more practical and flexible when dealing with these people and situations.

Sun Conjunct Retrograde Mercury...

starts today and is exact at 8.04pm, leaves on September 21. Both at 27 degrees and 35 minutes of Virgo.

Wow... poor old Virgo (and all the other mutable signs)! With so much energy being focussed here it seems that it could prove to be a very difficult OR a very liberating time!

The conjunction represents a new beginning and with Mercury retrograde part of making your new start is likely to mean incorporating something or someone from the past (look to see which houses are ruled by Mercury - these are Gemini and Virgo). Although changes to this new start are likely due to the retrograde motion of Mercury, this is still an opportunity to look to the facts, details and rational aspect of a situation in order to understand it more fully.

This is a pretty dynamic time and this configuration just adds to the potential for making the most of the current mix of energies in the sky.

Venus Conjunct Mars....

in Kilmore at 11.09pm at 15 degrees and 16 minutes of Taurus.

Woman meets man... love meets desire... yin joins yang... mmmmm, wherever this conjunction is happening for you in your chart it seems that there is the opportunity to join something together, or to make a fresh start that is positive. This is a lovely energy to have in the skies, especially with some of the harsher ones that have been around lately.

Venus and Mars have been travelling together for some time now and will continue for another few weeks... lucky us! The last conjunction happened in the last degree of Pisces.

Sun conjunct Retrograde Mercury...

today in Kilmore at 8.02pm at 27 degrees of Taurus.

With the Sun and Mercury both approaching each other face on it seems that we will have the chance to look at the Mercury issues we have been re-investigating in an 'illuminating' way with the power of the Sun's light shining brightly on them.

Being in a fixed sign, this conjunction can mean that we are being pointed to an area of our lives where we need to be flexible, or perhaps our values need reassessment. As usual, look to your birth chart for more information.

For example, I have this conjunction in my First House (my physical body, relationships, approach to life), the Sun rules Leo which is intercepted in my 3rd House (thinking, local community, siblings), and Mercury rules my 2nd House (values, finances, self-esteem), and 5th & 6th Houses (children, love, health, work). This may be an opportunity to review these areas of my life. At the moment I have a health issue that has returned (Mercury Retrograde ruling the 6th transiting my 1st House). I am also thinking more about how my own actions (1st House) and attitudes (3rd House) affect the quality of the relationships in my life - particulary with my children (1st and 5th).

Mercury Conjunct Uranus...

today at 4.02pm in Kilmore.

The first thought I had when I was thinking about this energy was a mental lightning bolt! This is what this combination of energies suggest because Mercury represents the mind and Uranus is associated with lightning!

Given that this conjunction happens in Pisces, the water influence might dampen down the volatility of this combination: however, this mixture of Mercury and Uranus suggests that thoughts/understanding (Mercury) will come to us quickly (Uranus) and seemingly out of nowhere (Pisces)! Look to the house placement in your birth chart to get an idea of where you can expect this dynamic energy to be expressed.

Obviously, this conjunction sets off some of the Saturn/Uranus opposition themes that we are all experiencing as well.

Sun Conjunct Uranus...

in Pisces today in Kilmore at 12.27pm.

This follows on from the recent Full Moon that has been part of the trigger for some pretty dynamic energies that are around us all right now... especially for mutable sign people (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.

The joining of the Sun and Uranus highlights where our opportunity to let go of outworn people, ideas and/or situations are: this conjunction is also important in showing us where we have become stuck. Looking to the house positon and which house cusps are involved through rulership will given an indication of what to look for.

Mars Conjunct Neptune...

in Aquarius today at 11.50pm.

Mars represents and energy, drive and direction whilst Neptune is about being nebulous, foggy and/or spiritual. Combining these two energies can be expressed in a lot of different ways but the first mix that I get a feel for is being confused about which direction to take on an issue represented by where this conjunction occurs in your natal chart.

I think that one of the most constructive ways to utilise this energy is through working on something or with someone where there is an altruistic element to the activity. Artistic endeavours are also good.

Being a conjunction, this energy gives us the chance to make a fresh start.

Mercury Conjunct Neptune...

in Aquarius today at 8.40pm.

Let's see... combine thinking with fogginess and what do you get? Clouded thinking! I think being in a fixed sign suggests that we perhaps will be seeing things in a way that suits our own stubborn thinking.

Under this influence I would expect that we will all tend towards daydreaming, lack of clarity when communicating with others, being easily hoodwinked and also get lost easily. This energy is actually really great for those of you that are creative in any way because it gives you a link into the unseen elements of the world and helps to give expression to them.

Personally, I wouldn't sign paperwork or commit to anything huge right now. I think I'll stick with daydreaming or painting :).

Mercury Conjunct Mars....

in Aquarius today at 2.05pm...

What can I say? Mercury is about communication and Mars is about being assertive... combine the two and you can get fiery communication! Especially since this conjunction happens in the fixed sign of Aquarius, it seems that we will all tend to be a bit stubborn about our thinking.

On another level this energy can simply mean that we feel the urge to attend to paperwork associated with wherever in your chart this conjunction happens in. For example, if it falls in your natal fourth house you may want to dig out paperwork relating to your home, property or family.

More on a mundane level, people may drive (Mercury) like they are the only people on the roads (Mars)!

People with planets or points in fixed signs will most likely feel this conjunction more keenly than others.
