Charles Manson - Charles Watson

Like the other cult members, Charles Watson has a Chiron connection with the 3rd House (the others had Chiron in aspect to Mercury... a similar feel).  There is also a square from Saturn in the 12th House.

Manson's Pluto is conjunct Watson's Saturn, which also squares his Chiron.  This suggests the total transformation of Watson's view of authority, and the structure of his life.

Watson's natal Sun/Mercury is also squared by Manson's Neptune, suggesting the 'brainwashing' link as well and dissolution of his ego in order to merge with Manson.

Charles Manson - Leslie Van Houten

As with the other cult members, Leslie shows a strong Chiron that is conjunct the 4th house cusp... it also squares Mercury by sign.  Like the other people there is a powerful square to the natal Chiron - in Leslie's case, from the natal Sun/Saturn conjunction at the Ascendant.

Manson's Pluto at 26 degrees of Cancer conjuncts Leslie's Mars... obviously showing the intense connection between the two of them.

His Neptune is also conjunct Leslie's Mercury, suggesting a strongly hypnotic influence on this person.

Chart details were provided by Solar Fire Gold.

Charles Manson - Patricia Krenwinkel

Looking at Patricia's chart you can see the strong Chiron/Mercury theme conjunct the Ascendant being squared by the Pluto/Moon/Saturn stellium at the MC.  As I have mentioned with the chart of Susan Atkins and the other cult members this seems to be a strong theme.

Manson's Neptune at 14 degrees of Virgo late in the 10th House squares the Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Patricia's chart... this suggests that Manson had a hypnotic effect on Patricia and possibly 'melted' the boundaries of her ego.

Charles Manson - Susan Atkins

Part of the Manson flock was Susan Atkins... I will be posting a few other charts later on, but what she shares with the other flock members is a strong Chiron/Mercury/3rd house connection.

In Susan's chart Chiron is at the MC, opposing the natal Mercury in Taurus in the 4th House.  This opposition is squared by Pluto/Saturn/Mars conjunction in Leo in the 7th.  From what I understand and have seen with Mercury/Chiron people it seems that there is a lack of confidence in the way they think and process information.  Manson may have hooked into this and taken advantage of it.

Manson's Pluto near the Desc, opposing Susan's Ascendant.  Naturally, his presence had a major, tranformative affect on her life.  His Pluto also squares her Moon, suggesting a powerful and deep emotional affect on Susan that was difficult to understand at a rational level.

Anyway, these are just the main themes that I can see... I would love to hear your comments!

Sun Conjunct Jupiter...

enters on February 27 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 28 at 9.44pm in Kilmore, leaves on March 2.  Both at 9 degrees and 44 minutes of Pisces.

The Sun, as I have mentioned many times before, highlights whatever it touches in the sky and energises it.  Jupiter is about growth, opportunity and also what brings meaning to your life.  The meeting of these two energies suggests that the opportunity that will be around for the next few months and later this year while Jupiter travels through Pisces, will be highlighted for us all.  It's like someone will put a spotlight on where our opportunity for growth is, making us more aware of which direction to take.

Conjunctions are also associated with something or someone new... so by looking at where this conjunction falls in your birth chart, you can keep an eye out for this new opportunity for growth.  Also look to see which houses are ruled by the Sun (Leo), and Jupiter (Sagittarius and Pisces) for what or who may be 'coming together' for this new start or opportunity.

If you have personal planets or points in Pisces, this is likely to be an especially important time for you.

Mercury Conjunct Neptune...

starts on February 27 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 28 at 1.03am in Kilmore, leaves on the same day.  Both at 26 degrees and 38 minutes of Aquarius.

Mercury, the planet of communication and connection with others and the world around us joining forces with the confusing and idealistic Neptune can be a tricky combination to work with.  Although it is an excellent one for creative writing, expressing something artistic and/or for daydreaming in general, it generally isn't good for viewing people and situations clearly.

Since this is a conjunction, this usually indicates a 'meeting'... Mercury is the one chasing Neptune, so it seems that whatever or whoever is represented by Mercury is the one who is doing the chasing.  Look to see which houses are ruled by Mercury (ones with Gemini or Virgo on the cusp), to get an idea of what or who this may be... the same applies to Neptune.  Look to see which house is ruled by Pisces to get a feel for what or who will be visited by the nimble Mercury during this time.  Whatever and whoever is represented by this conjunction will need to be looked at using FACTS (rather than assumptions)... this will help ease any confusion or misunderstanding.

Also look to see where this conjunction is happening to get a feel for where this meeting of energies may occur, for example, if it falls in your 4th house it may be at home.

If you have personal planets or points in Aquarius then you are likely to feel this aspect quite strongly.

Charles Manson - Charismatic Cult Leader & Mass Murderer

Goodness me!  Where to start?

The first thing I notice about this chart is all the angular activity... suggesting that this person will have a personality and life that is open for inspection!

The Moon in the 10th can indicate a person who is very good at swaying the emotions of other people, while the Mercury/Jupiter conjunction (part of the Scorpio stellium in the 7th) gives the gift of the gab: combined with the Mars/Neptune conjunction late in the 5th or early in the 6th (depends on which house system you use) suggesting attention to detail (Virgo), but also having a persuasive ego.  Both Mars and Neptune rule the 12th... so it's like having a double whammy effort of having the unconscious being expressing through 'love' (5th House), or his idea of 'service/duty' (6th House)... or perhaps just part of his everyday routine!

Maybe being a cult leader or murderer was seen as his daily 'job'?  As you can see this final aspect has its only expression through the trine to the MC.

Saturn squares the Sun/Venus conjunction: I remember reading somewhere that this can sometimes give the character a cruel streak... I think in this case that this holds true.

I'll have a look at his 'flock' in the next blog.

How do you take YOUR coffee?

Personally... I'm a long black type of person...

I found this fun article while browsing the web and thought you might like it.  I have put the first paragraph in this blog so you can have a preview of what it's about.

Sun enters Pisces...

today in Kilmore at 5.36am.

The sun moving from the fixed, logical and social sign of Aquarius into the more fluid, adaptable and emotional sign of Pisces suggests a change in tone to where our focus will be.  People and situations ruled by the Sun in your chart (look to see which house is ruled by Leo), are likely to become more adaptable and emotional while the Sun is travelling through Pisces.

You can also look to where the Sun is travelling in your birth chart while it is in Pisces, because it will be likely that it will focus your attention onto where (and who) carries Piscean traits.

If you are are Pisces... Happy Birthday!

Venus Conjunct Jupiter...

enters on February 16 (using a 1 degree orb), exact on February 17 at 1.14pm in Kilmore, leaves on February 18.  Both at 6 degrees and 59 minutes of Pisces.

This is likely to be a lovely combination, depending on where it falls in your birth chart.  Both Venus and Jupiter are usually lucky planets, and the two of them together seem to amplify this theme.  This obviously can be a good thing, but it can also mean that we expect too much of whatever or whoever is involved in or represented by these energies.

Since Venus is chasing Jupiter... symbolically it suggests that whatever or whoever is represented by Venus is 'chasing' whatever or whoever is represented by Jupiter.  The conjunction suggests a meeting, melding and/or joining forces of these people/themes.  For example, if you have this conjunction happening in your 10th House, there may be a meeting about or involving career matters or people or in a setting outside of the home that ends up being quite lucky for you.

As usual, you would look to see where this conjunction is falling in your own birth chart to get an idea of where this energy may be expressed; and also to see which houses are ruled by Venus and Jupiter to get a feel for what or who may be 'conjuncting' each other!

If you have any personal planets or points in Pisces then this energy is likely to be especially prominent.

New Moon in Aquarius...

today in Kilmore at 1.51pm.

This New Moon has a powerful connection to Neptune and Chiron... have a look at my previous post about the Sun/Neptune conjunction to get a feel for this lunation.

New Moon's are about making a fresh start and by looking at where this one falls in your birth chart you can get a feel for where you have the potential to start something new.

Keep in mind the confusing, but idealistic Neptune influence though!

Sun Conjunct Neptune...

enters on February 14 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 15 at 10.19am in Kilmore, leaves on February 16.  Both at 26 degrees and 9 minutes of Aquarius.

Tricky, but inspirational Neptune is being accented and 'lit up' by the connection with the Sun during this time.  The Sun illuminates whatever it touches and the conjunction is an especially powerful connection.  It suggests a new, unconscious start or merging of these two energies and the themes/people they represented in your birth chart.  The trick is to sort out fantasy from the truth with the involvement of Neptune.

A conjunction is a meeting of two planets, and the Sun is chasing Neptune... symbolically this suggests that whatever or whoever is represented by Neptune is being chased by whatever or whoever is represented by the Sun.  By looking at where this conjunction is happening and which houses are ruled by the Sun (house with Leo on the cusp) and Neptune (house with Pisces on cusp), you can get a feel for what, or who this may be.

If you have personal planets or points in Aquarius, then this energy is likely to be especially powerful.

Mercury Opposing Retrograde Mars...

starts on February 13 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 13 at 9.25pm, leaves on February 14.  Mercury at 4 degrees and 22 minutes of Aquarius, retrograde Mars at 4 degrees and 22 minutes of Leo.

Combined with the last aspect (Mercury Trine Retrograde Saturn), this aspect suggests a major turning point after barriers to successful communication.  It's as though a roadblock has been removed, now allowing open and free communication and expression, most likely of volatile and passionate themes from the past (retrograde Mars in Leo).

Even though this is likely to be a volatile time, the opposition always suggests a turning point and opportunity to view the themes and relationships represented by the planets involved in a more objective way than usual.

As usual, look to see where this aspect is happening to get a feel for where you are likely to reach a turning point and need honest communication.  Also look to see which houses are ruled by Mercury (ones with Gemini or Virgo on the cusp) and Mars (ones with Aries or Scorpio on them).

If you have personal planets or points in Leo and/or Aquarius then you are likely to be especially sensitive to this transit.

Mercury Trine Retrograde Saturn...

starts on February 12 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 13 at 12.34pm, leaves on February 14.  Mercury at 3 degrees and 50 minutes of Aquarius, retrograde Saturn at 3 degrees and 50 minutes of Libra.

Mercury, the planet associated with communication, our thinking and also with how we 'connect' to the world around us joining forces with Saturn suggests a bit of a serious tone, but also the opportunity to make long term plans.  The trine aspect is a flowing and easy-going one that removes blockages, so it looks like the people and situations represented by these planets in your birth chart should connect easily and make progress.

Saturn is retrograde, this suggests that even though the people and situations represented by this planet may be regressing, that this will ultimately be a positive process.  The Mercury/Saturn trine suggests that you will now have the chance to sort through and understand a situation from the past (Saturn retrograde).

By looking at where this trine is happening, and which houses are ruled by Mercury (ones with Gemini or Virgo on the cusps), and Saturn (ones with Capricorn or Aquarius on the cusps), you will get a better idea of where progress can be expected.

If you have personal planets/points in Libra and/or Aquarius then you are likely to feel this aspect more than others.

Venus enters Pisces...

today in Kilmore at 11.10pm.

The beautiful Venus travelling through the gentle Pisces suggests that our ability to relate to others will be more sensitive than usual, and that we are likely to see the best in others.  Since Venus can also represent our values, these may swing towards people being more altruistic than usual in how they handle their finances and in choices made regarding purchases and monetary concerns.

While Venus is travelling through Pisces, it will also be in the same sign as Jupiter... a double whammy of good luck!

So, by looking at where Venus is travelling in your chart, you can get an idea of what or who is likely to be beneficial (as long as you are realistic!).  Also look to see which houses are ruled by Venus - ones with Taurus and/or Libra on them - to get a feel for what or who may be part of this happy picture.

If you have personal planets or points in Pisces, then this energy is likely to be especially prominent for you - enjoy!

Mercury enters Aquarius...

today in Kilmore at 8.06pm.

Mercury moving from the serious and sombre Capricorn into the free-wheeling and stubborn sign of Aquarius suggests a change of mental mood.  It also suggests a change in the way the people and themes represented by Mercury in your birth chart operate over the next few weeks.

For example, I have Gemini on my 2nd House cusp, so I would expect it to be a bit easier for money to be flowing and for my finances to stabilise (Aquarius is a fixed sign).  Virgo also rules my 4th and 5th Houses, so I would also expect family situations and members to become more stable - perhaps stubborn!

The house that Mercury is in or moving to as it changes sign is also an area that you can expect to become much busier as it travels through it.  If you are an Aquarian, expect the next few weeks to be quite hectic!

Retrograde Saturn Square Pluto...

starts on January 10 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact on February 1 in Kilmore at 8.27am, leaves on February 15.  Retrograde Saturn at 4 degrees and 21 minutes of Libra, Pluto at 4 degrees and 21 minutes of Capricorn.

This aspect was around during November and December last year: Saturn was at 1 degree and 42 minutes of Libra and Pluto was at 1 degree and 42 minutes of Capricorn.

From my first post...

'As I mentioned in my post about the entry of Saturn into Libra here, this first major aspect that Saturn makes reminds me a bit of a 'baptism of fire'!

This aspect also energises the relatively recent entry of Pluto into Capricorn.  The square suggests tension and a turning point being reached through being in a situation that finally makes us do something about a long standing (outer planets) situation that desperately needs to change.  Depending on your own birth chart the way you experience this square will vary.

Both planets can represent what we fear, but also the potential for change... Saturn on a structural level, Pluto at a deeper, emotional level.

This combination then gives us the chance now to make profound changes in our lives that will free us from our fears, through acknowledging them and then reaching a major cross-road and turning point in our new understand and freedom in our lives.

By looking at where this transit is happening in your birth chart you can get a better idea of how to utilise the energy constructively.  Also look to see which houses are ruled by Saturn (Capricorn and Aquarius), and Pluto (Scorpio).'

If you have personal planets/points in Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and/or Libra you are likely to find these energies especially powerful.

Venus Conjunct Neptune...

starts on February 7 (using a 1 degree orb), is exact in Kilmore on February 8 at 4.44pm, leaves on February 9.  Both at 25 degrees and 54 minutes of Aquarius.

Venus, the planet that represents our values, how we relate to others and also of the fun stuff in life connecting with Neptune (associated with fantasy, lack of boundaries and total merging) suggests that there is something or someone that may seem to good to be true in our lives right now.  Unfortunately, whatever or whoever it is, it probably IS too good to be true!

However, this combination is an excellent one for anything artistic and/or creative; and also for some harmless daydreaming... so get to it!

As usual, it's a good idea to see where this conjunction is happening in your own birth chart to get a feel for what or who may need clarification.  Also look to see which houses are ruled by Venus (ones with Taurus and Libra on the cusps), and Neptune (one with Pisces on the cusp).

If you have personal planets or points in Aquarius, then you are likely to feel this energy as being especially strong.
